The wait is over.

The iPhone went on sale yesterday at 6:02pm in the UK.

I had a chance to play with one at the Apple store in Manchester’s Arndale Centre yesterday, albeit very briefly and they are very nice.

All the reports you hear about the intuitive user interface are true…

All I can say is: if you haven’t yet entered the first British iPhone giveaway… you really need to.

Standing in the queue that snaked its way down the Arndale yesterday waiting for the Apple store to open, I saw these teenagers walk past and one said to her friend who was looking quizzically at the unusually long queues outside the Apple store:

“They are waiting to buy an Applephone.”

Made me smile.

“Applephone” indeed.

Apple are going to sell a load of phones in the UK this week.

Probably more than they anticipated.

I cannot for the life of me find who posted this originally so if you know who it is, please leave a link in the comments and I will credit them accordingly. Thanks.
