Day 9 of the First British iPhone Giveaway
Sincere apologies for the protracted silence, I have been really busy today attending to other Real Fresh TV business stuff.
The good news is that the plugin developer behind Comment Karma, the WordPress Comment Voting plugin in use on the site got back to me (fairly quickly, it must be said) with advice on how to make the changes necessary to allow only positive comment voting in the first British iPhone giveaway and my web developer is now working on implementing them.
You may well see the changes take effect over the next few hours.
However, I urge people to refrain from voting until I give the all clear later on tonight. We need to reset all the votes to zero first to level the playing field. Thanks for the recommendation, Imran and Edward, it had always been part of the plan.
So, can I re-iterate that voting proper will start at midnight tonight but not before to allow us enough time to ensure the site can cope with your pent up enthusiasm. ;o)
The last thing we want is people losing votes because the system wasn’t up and running properly before they started casting them.
