Social Media Usage Amongst FTSE 100 Companies – Real And Imagined

Google Rankings for FTSE 100 companiesSo I’m putting together that long promised post updating my study on social media usage amongst FTSE 100 companies.

This post will see me cover 5 more companies, moving the total covered in our table so far from 15 to 20 companies.  This time I will be reviewing BHP Billiton, BP, B Sky B Group, BT Group and Cadbury.

The reason it takes so long is that it is actually 6 blog posts in one.

Each company’s website is studied in some detail and its use of social media assessed.  The list of companies studied is taken from Yahoo’s Finance FTSE 100 table.

This study will be an interesting one in the light of the turbulent financial times we are going through.

Putting together the study so far has been an interesting journey.  Whilst they are not my favourite posts to write (in fact I find them very dull!), I’ve learnt a great deal about the larger corporate world.  Having said that, I’m actually looking forward to covering BT, B Sky B and Cadbury’s use of social media.

More up by the end of the week.
