Real Fresh TV is excited to announce it has partnered with leading sportswear fashion brand PUMA to find Manchester’s most promising band.
Barely weeks after opening the third ‘new concept’ PUMA store in the UK in Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre, PUMA is sponsoring a band search competition to find Manchester’s most promising musical talent.
Disqus Feature Request: A Chance To Monetise?

I’ve just installed Disqus, a neat blog comment management system on this site, joining over 4000 blogs.
Disqus is a blog comment management system that effectively turns comments on a blog into a community.
I like Disqus because the profile page provided for each commenter at Disqus.com adds an additional level of accountability to each comment, something I think surpasses its ‘threaded comments’ feature which is what initially attracted me to it.
However, as fantastic as it is, Disqus lacks something I really need:

About that iPhone Review
Posted on 05. Feb, 2008 by Chi-chi Ekweozor in Social Media Strategies
It’s been one thing after the other back at Real Fresh HQ so I’m pleased to finally post the first proper blog post of the year. Gosh, it’s going fast, we’re in February already!
I’ve been meaning to note that the long awaited iPhone review was indeed written by Kuli, winner of our infamous iPhone giveaway back in December.
However, as you are probably aware, issues with a faulty Wordpress plugin locking me out of the site just before I went on holiday meant the review could not be posted here – Kuli couldn’t log into the site either.
Long Awaited iPhone Review from the First British iPhone Gadget Giveaway Coming This Week

Look out for the iPhone review by Kuli, winner of the first British iPhone Giveaway later on this week.
He will actually be posting it on here himself, complete with pictures, which is pretty exciting.
Look out for more news on gadget giveaways…

Would You Promote Your Business Online Using a Sponsored Giveaway?
Posted on 19. Nov, 2007 by Chi-chi Ekweozor in Engagement Marketing
This post will come as no surprise as I have hinted several times that I am now looking to run future online giveaways on the Real Fresh TV site after the fantastic success of the first iPhone giveaway, flaws and all…
First, thanks again to Imran who left an insightful comment suggesting I look at running giveaways as a revenue earner for the site. He even went as far as suggesting that they may be better than Google AdSense.
Judging by anecdotal evidence on AdSense earnings on the vast majority of blogs, he is probably right.
Well, Imran, like minds think alike, as they say…
Whilst keeping an eye on votes as they came in for the iPhone giveaway on Saturday, it dawned on me that the real value of the iPhone giveaway has been the engagement shown by entrants as the competition progressed.
I have been amazed by people’s involvement with the giveaway, even after they made their entries.

Finally, fifteen days after the competition started, I’m pleased to announce we have a winner!
Congratulations to Kuli for winning the first British iPhone Giveaway!
I had planned to announce the winner at 9:00AM but as Sukey rightly pointed out, I need to do so earlier as people still seem to be voting even though the deadline has now passed.

2nd | Joe Akers | Peep show 424 votes

There’s less than fifteen minutes to go before the deadline for the first British iPhone giveaway and it’s apparent that this giveaway, even with its ups and downs has gripped the imagination.
I will be writing a lengthy ‘post giveaway review’ tomorrow highlighting some interesting facts and figures from the competition.
For now, I’m updating the ‘leaderboard’ with a summary of the votes so far:
1st | Kuli | Monkey | 428 votes
2nd | Joe Akers | Peep show 404 votes
3rd | Imran | The A Team 74 votes
4th | Lunny | Lost 21 votes
5th | Mr Singh | Only Fools & Horses 4 votes

Day 12 in the First British iPhone Giveaway

Most of you will now know that today’s voting mishap has been resolved and that the deadline for the iPhone giveaway has been extended for the last time to midnight on Sunday to accommodate it.
For those unaware, my web developer inadvertently broke the voting system for a few hours this afternoon when he uploaded the changes I requested back on Tuesday (he has been having email problems), oblivious to the fact that I had already fixed the problems with voting earlier this week.
Voting Fixed in the iPhone Giveaway… Again
Posted on 16. Nov, 2007 by Chi-chi Ekweozor in Announcements

Arrghhhh, I can’t take much more of this!!!
Apologies for those who weren’t able to vote for a few hours today.
My web developer, who has been off email for the last few days finally received the frantic email I sent him on Tuesday and made the modifications to the Comment Karma plugin I suggested back then.
Obviously, this broke Comment Karma and set the voting system back to the no-voting-state we had all day Wednesday and most of Thursday.
I’ve fixed it by uploading the fix I wrote yesterday so you should be able to vote again.
Please resume voting.
