It’s been a little while since the last Social Media Starter Course but I’m pleased to announce there’s one scheduled for Tuesday 27th October 2009.

Real Fresh TV’s innovative Social Media Starter Course was developed over a year ago and launched in October 2008 as the first dedicated Social Media for Beginners training course in the UK.

It has proven incredibly popular, with academics, marketers, PR companies, photographers and even non-profits attending over the course of the year.

Attendees even requested a more hands-on follow up course, the Learning Social Media By Doing Course which has since been developed.

I’m going to be speaking at the Social TV Forum at RIBA, London on Monday 28th September.

Billed as a discussion on the “Future of TV and Social Media”, the Social TV Forum’s agenda is to look at the challenges facing the emerging social TV marketplace.

Jotta, online community for artists and creatives - Social Media for the arts?Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting directors from Jotta.com, an online and offline community for practising artists across creative disciplines including design, illustration, art, music and film at the offices of the Manchester Digital Development Agency.

The Jotta team have created a lush, visually appealing online community site focussed on offering advice, education, networking events and commercial opportunities to new and emerging artists in a host of creative disciplines.
