BioPicReal Fresh TV was founded in October 2005 by Chi-chi Ekweozor.  The company pioneered video podcasting in the UK, publishing the 3 Minute Gig, Europe’s first live music video podcast in February 2006.

Chi-chi studied Electronic and Communication Engineering at the University of York for five years and holds an MEng honours degree. Before starting Real Fresh TV, she worked for Intel-funded electronic design automation start-up, Silistix, where she learnt to love elegantly-written code.

Her enthusiasm for online video started in 2000 after she spent a mid-degree industrial placement year with telecommunications giant Nortel, supporting the design and deployment of transatlantic optical communications equipment at their Harlow Laboratories in Essex; the birthplace of fibre-optics, no less. She now knows that all that lit fibre is not enough.

She is also a keen musician and you can listen to her inventive guitar playing here.

Real Fresh TV works closely with a number of video production companies in the UK’s North West including Captured Alive.

Chi-chi was recently voted one of the north west region’s best budding entrepreneurs, winning the Ideas Factory competition at the Business North West 2006 conference.

She has recently been short listed for a 4Talent Multi-Platform Award.  The 4Talent Awards, sponsored by Channel 4, spotlight 20 highly creative individuals under the age of 30 who are tipped for the top in TV and new media.

Real Fresh TV is supported by VentureSpace, one of the UK’s leading business incubators.
