I would love to watch Doctor Who on my iPhone. I don’t just mean like a few episodes. I would download the whole new series with Christopher and David in.

I would watch it in Landscape mode and I would make sure when i encoded it, it was the best quality.

That’s the TV show I would watch. Hope I win lol.

  • Toby Spanton

I would like to watch Father Ted, and other comedy series (ie Channel 4 IT Crowd, black books, book group). These sorts of shows would be best as more likely to watch them again, father ted episodes never get tired!

Would be good to download or rent them, under £2.00. On the iphone would be able to watch full screen (or on current ipod video models). Or could put them on the youtube application and watch for free! (hope I win this iphone and get to take advantage fo any such service!)

  • Kuli

I’d love to be able to watch Monkey (for those not in the know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_%28TV_series%29) on my iPhone, they were quality shows, and with 52 to watch, they’d keep me busy for it a bit. TV Gold…

  • http://www.somefoolwitha.com matthew

Id watch IT Crowd – of course!

  • http://www.nikfletcher.com Nik Fletcher

Whilst an American drama fan, I’d have to say Top Gear… Especially as IT Crowd is taken :-)

There are lots of cool shows to choose from, 24 would be a good one.

  • andy

There are lots of cool show to choose from. 24 would be a good one.

  • Jonas

I’ve wanted to see this series for quite some time but never had the time. Perhaps if I were able to watch it on the train I’d be able to find the time.

    My entry is “Lost”.

  • Richard Ashe

I would have to nominate any Billy Connolly standup routine that was aired. I’ve never been able to watch an entire Billy standup and not be crying with uncontrollable laughter at some point through it.

Imagine yourself watching it in a public place shaking and crying with laughter….. people around you getting nervous and taking those few extra steps away from you.

I just think the ability to whip out Billy whenever you need a pickup would be utterly fantastic.

  • http://www.boxedfresh.co.uk Imran

I would have to say, i would love to watch the classic 80′s shows on the iphone. There really are so many shows that i would love to watch.. things like Thundercats, Transformers (Animated), Danger Mouse, Night Rider, The A Team, Only Fools and Horses and not to forget Red Dwarf!

Overall i guess if i had to pick one, it would be “The A Team”.. Watching MR T as B. A. Baracus, saying “I pity the fool!”. A true classic watched on the future of TV.

    Now that would be “Cool”!

I would watch 24 – then I can watch Jack save the world (again!) from anywhere and then use my iPhone to call Chloe and ask her to re-route the power from grid 4B – link it through my Google Maps, then get her to email the security key to my email, all whilst sitting on the train to work watching the guy opposite to see if he is a Bad Guy and watching 24……or something like that!

Its got to be STAR TREK we all wanted a futuristic hand held device like Captain Kirk used… it would look great on the iphone…..BEAM ME UP SCOTTY……

  • Robert Goacher

I would like to see episodes of Heroes, but in-sync with the broadcasting in the United States. I hate having to wait months to see my favourite shows, just because I live in the United Kingdom!

  • KVN

Well, seeing as Top Gear, Lost and 24 are taken, I will go for some good quality animation in the form of FAMILY GUY!

  • Robin

I think it would have to be the new series of Battlestar Galactica. The excellent contract on the iPhone screen would be perfect for all those black space scenes.

  • Robin

    Edit to previous post:

I think it would have to be the new series of Battlestar Galactica. The excellent contrast on the iPhone screen would be perfect for all those black space scenes.

  • Ben

It’s a no brainer! – got to be curb your entusiasm. What would larry say about the iphone?? Probably that it’s priitttaayyy priitttaayyy priitttaayyy good! Every episode is a classic and it’ll have people looking your way when you can’t help but laugh out loud at your iphone.

  • Kris King

I’d watch Heroes or Lost! Both are awesome…but for a unique entry, I’d watch Stargate Atlantis!

Good luck to everybody in the draw!!

  • http://None; Josh Stanbridge

    Favorite TV show?
i think i have to pick more than one,
    Father Ted
    Nathan Barley
    The IT crowd
    Scrubs
    Greenwing
    Bottom.

  • http://www.chrisfleming.org/ Chris Fleming

I would probably watch Spaced first.

Then family Guy followed by whatever I’ve recorded on my mythtv box, but haven’t had time to watch yet such as the new season of Spooks and Heroes.

  • jasonwd

I think that a comedy, sketch format, program like phonejacker (available at iTunes) or the Fast Show is perfect for the iPhone because you can watch a quick 3 minute sketch on the bus/tube/train/dentist without the constant interruptions of the day hassling your viewing….

…. the problem is, you’ll be embarrassingly snorting and laughing to yourself!

  • http://www.dsmurfin.co.uk Daniel Murfin

I’d just love to watch Lost on an iPhone, the new higher quality videos from iTunes should look just great!

  • Tim Rolison

Frasier of course! Stylish, profound, rip-roaringly funny. ‘nough said!

  • Michael Michaelides

Would be great to watch those old episodes of Fawlty Towers. They were so cool and funny !

  • EoinL

I’d definitely say that it would have to be ‘Brothers & Sisters’(C4).

I haven’t seen a TV drama in such a long time that puts across a well formulated emotive piece, encompassing realistic emotional scenarios with extreme comic moments.

I think it would be one show that would prove difficult to tear me away from my iphone.

  • http://bebo David Fleming

Just has to be Shameless on my new iphone, this would allow me to laugh my socks off on the train home.

  • Kevin Abbott

Watching on my iPhone would be all I would do.

No need for anything else I’d throw the TV out of the window and trash the living room.

I’m sure the wife wouldn’t be too happy. She’d probably lock me under the stairs AGAIN!… No problem though ‘cos I’d have Prison Break ready to watch and i’d bust my way out of my dusty cell… the planning begins tonight… I could get a biro and draw an escape route over my back… hmm…

  • Arnaud

I would like to watch Top Gear, The Simpson’s and South Park

  • Paul Bradley

Probably US dramas like Heroes, House and West Wing.

  • Matt Harvey

The x files for me as the IPhone seems like some kind of phone from the future probably left by aliens…..

  • http://www.piixal.com Dale Roberts

I would watch an old cult american TV comedy series called Mystery Science Theatre 3000 – its utterly hilarious, and very rare to find!

also, its extremely innovative and a joy to look at – just like the iPhone!

    D

  • mr egan

i think i would most like to watch

lost & prison break and defo itunes videos

  • Hugh

So Father Ted ! Are you gettin one of those new piePhones ?

No Dougal…..is called the iPhone, and its made by Apple !!

Now your confusin me ! whats it got to do with apples Ted ?

  • Peter Harahwa

I Would watch Heroes and Dr who must watch programs and all my other fav programs. With the iphone I would never need a telly ever and I can throw out my mp3 player aswell.

  • David

I think the Simpsons will be the best thing to watch on this device, no need for great video compression quality (could be streamed over edge) and I’m sure everyone is gonna love it!

  • paul curry

    id watch prison break!

  • Y.G.Lee

    Heros!! Ofcourse.!! Iam waiting everyweek.

  • Jeffery Lay

I’m likely to watch several programmes on the iPhone, as I have an EyeTV tuner, which can automatically download anything on Freeview to the iPhone. The ones I most look forward to, though, are Doctor Who, The I.T. Crowd, and BBC News!

  • http://www.potterfan.com Nick Wellings

I would want to have Ugly Betty on my iPhone. :D

  • andrew sheldon

    the gadget show
    or
    sponge bob square pants !!

  • David Saunders

    Heroes! Best show on TV

  • Jimmy Hayes

I would watch the Young Ones. Comedy gold and perfect for making you feel better when traveling.

  • Robert Goacher

I think it’s pretty lame how everyone is voting other peoples’ comments negatively instead of voting positively for their favourite one. Come on guys; have some integrity!

  • pascale de berranger

Late night TV show? the young ones obviously…

  • Joe Akers

i would be a fool to say I wouldn’t watch the brilliant
P eep show. One of my all time favourites and of course
h as the Apple connection – Mitchell and Webb the face
o f the “Get a Mac” adds in the UK – I’m sure that I’m
n ot the only one looking forward to series 4? Will Mark
e ventually find happiness with Sophie? I hope so!

  • Lee Beckett

Although I’m very very tempted to add my name to the growing crowd of people wanting Doctor Who on their iphone (oh my god how good would the title sequence look!?), I think I would have to finally plump for QI with Stephen Fry. I love this programme but my problem is that a few days later, I can never remember all the interesting facts that the programme explained and the myths they debunked. By having the programme permanently on my iphone, I could keep refreshing my memory and then use it as a tool to astound all my friends in the pub with my wide-ranging and indepth knowledge of trivia. Hurrah!

I would love the entire 10 seasons of Friends on my iPhone. Unfortunately, I’m going to need more than 8GB of disk space for this, but it would be great for just dipping in and out of favourite episodes when I had a spare 20 minutes. :o ) Wish I’d seen this earlier in the week. Can’t believe no-one suggested Friends yet!

  • http://alexgti.uk.to Alex

I’d have a wealth of TV Shows to stick on it, but three of the best have to be Top Gear, Futurama, and, of course, the IT Crowd!

  • L Hussain

Has to be Planet of the Apes. Great classic of its time, a revolution in its time, and viewed on a revolutionary player.

  • Ryan Todd

I would watch every possible episode of PRISON BREAK!!! then some heroes and then lost. I love the idea! Bring on the tv shows!

  • keifer spencer

I would love love love love love to watch Doctor Who on my FREE iphone lol I wish i could afford one but unfortunately i cant.

To help send me to sleep on my long commute to work I’d like to watch back to back Open University broadcasts from the 70′s. You know something about applied maths out to do it.

  • Achillyse

I would have to watch all the Mighty Boosh episodes!
Watching that on an iPhone would brighten up a dull day.

Another one for watching Dr Who! Seems kind of right to use technology to view it when so much of the show hinges on future inventions.

    Elizabeth

  • Thomas

I would look to the future and watch videos on YouTube if I was able to. Thats what should be done with a futuristic device like this. That would certainly fill any of my spare time.

  • Filipe

The TV show that i would like to watch on the iPhone is Prison Break. Although if i had an iphone i would surely look into others, such as: The Office, Heroes and Lost. Being able to see my TV shows on the move is thrilling and something new to me. With and iphone i definitely go to see more tv shows than ever which will lead me to spend more time at iTunes Store than before.

  • http://www.thomaswilsondesign.co.uk Tommyw

Has to be Top Gear, wife hates watching it so at least I can on the move. Best TV show by far!!

    Tommyw

  • http://www.lucasemmins.co.uk Lucas

I would watch anything and everything on the go. No more wasted time in front of the TV at an inconvenient time.
Download the show you want to watch and watch it on the tube, bus or train. It will look gorgeous on the iPhone, especially on a free one.

  • Mohamed

I would love to watch Top Gear and Ugly Betty……. Sounds a bit of an awful cntrast ,,, but yeahhhh….

actually wouldnt be bad at all with Apple iPhone’s landscape screen.

I cant afford to buy an iPhone so i stand at the window with my nose pressed against it…i’ve been arrested a couple of times

  • Abdul Matin

I am a friends fanatic and it would be awesome to watch them dudes on a widescreen format as I commute everyday for 3.5 HOURS of boredom through trains. Even though I’ve seen all episodes countless number of times.

I miss friends. So please vote for me, and in return I will email (thats right I said Email!) everyone a picture of the iPhone if and when i get it. Now thats what I call an offer.

  • Adrian Walsh

    I’d watch Top Gear repeats!

  • Mike

Can i say i think this competition is a big joke “now”!!

You are really losing your credibility.. I know you want the hits, but this really is not the way!

Just announce a winner for god sake!

Hope you take my advise sooner this time…

  • http://www.realfresh.tv Chi-chi Ekweozor

    @Mike:

Thanks for your comment and for your concern for my credibility.

This giveaway is not purely for hits, though they do help.

If it were purely for hits, then I would have done what other people running giveaways do online last Monday and just offered to give the iPhone to the author of a randomly selected comment on Friday.

I’ve never set out to do this and clarified my motivations for running the giveaway here:

    http://www.realfresh.tv/day-7-of-the-first-british-iphone-giveaway/

I want the winner selected as fairly as possible as I am *paying* to give away something I could so easily keep for myself.

If you have entered the giveaway, this works in your favour…

If you haven’t, it shouldn’t affect you.

Well I think it would have to be something epic, like “Long Way Down” which I am really enjoying at the moment, or perhaps something more light-hearted, like “Flight of the Conchords”.
I am also amazed that no one has suggested “Life on Mars”. I thought that was absolutely brilliant television.
